Thank you Carmen for boosting my confidence! This procedure is not just for men, it’s definitely for women as well. I used to pull my hair back and tight growing up while playing sports, which resulted in traction alopecia and many bald areas especially my sides. Now it’s not even noticeable, and I don’t have to use any spray/powder messy cover ups on it. Do yourself a favor and go see Carmen please. She’s extremely friendly and her prices are very fair. She truly loves what she does and wants the best for her clients.

If you are thinking about getting an SMP treatment, stop thinking about it and just do it.Carmen at Optima Revision is professional, patient and kind. After a few sessions you no longer feel like a customer, but more like a friend. The results are incredible and it's amazing to see the progress getting better and better after each session. If you don't think you will look good with the shaved head look, trust me, it's a whole different look when you have a head full of hair again (smp). Book and appointment and see for yourself. Also pricing is very reasonable.

I honestly don’t know where to start when talking about my journey that lead me to Carmen. I am 35 and I started losing my hair 10 years ago. To say it was devastating is a understatement. Anyone that’s reading this that’s going through it means i don’t need to explain that because you know. I began looking at any possible way I could fight this. I tried topical treatments... didn’t work. I looked into hair transplant that wasn’t guaranteed to work at all and left a huge scar on the back of your head at a huge cost on the low end being ten thousand or so and much more so that’s not worth it. I found a hair replacement clinic in Southern California and thought hey I’ll give this a go. I chose this route to wear that hair (which is a glorified wig for men) for years. At first I thought it was great but if you know anything about this then you know it comes with a HUGE burden. Constantly wondering if it looks ok or if the lace is lifting so let’s forget about swimming and lake activities or how about rollercoasters... nope. So you can kiss that fun active lifestyle you had goodbye. Travel? Sure but you need to carry a kit of lace tap, Glue, scalp protector, scissors, tweezers and a small mirror because you have to fix it every two days. Let’s not even get into the cost of all this that is never ending. I couldn’t live life like this anymore. It took away so much more than it gave me. I started looking into SMP with a very skeptical eye. I seen the technology of ink and needles had advanced and that there were artist out there that were capable of working what I could only describe as magic. I also seen horrible botched pictures and warnings to do your research. After all you are getting a head tattoo! I went to multiple SMP clinics from Fresno to Sacramento. Online consultation with clinics in Southern California. 4 in person consultation that left me feeling doubtful. Most clinics just eager to get you in the chair much less to make you feel comfortable and excited about this. All this brought me to Carmen. To put it simply... she is a blessing. One consultation and in the first ten minutes I knew this was it. Her passion for her work just pours out. Multiple schooling’s and certificates. Open minded to learn from multiple people in the industry. Taking a year of her own time to practice her art to perfect it before making a dollar. If that’s not passion then Idk what is. After my first session I was eager and excited for my next session. Not only because I seen instant results but because Carmen made you feel like family. We had wonderful conversations and spoke about life! If that’s not your jam you can go in silence. I was tired one session and almost snoozed off. I’m now finished with all my session and it’s a work of art! Make no mistake about that! Confidence restored without any worry of maintenance and all the paranoia is gone. I felt I owed it to Carmen to write a review but maybe more importantly this might help someone that’s struggling with the same issues as me. I never write reviews but I would feel guilty having said nothing. If you read this far then I’m happy I wrote this.

I had a scar and some thinning and went to another place in the Bay Area and over time it faded and I needed the scalp pigmentation again and after doing my research, I came to Carmen. I emailed her for more information and replied the same day. Had my consultation and she made me feel amazing and at ease. Carmen is such a sweetheart and truly an amazing artist. She went over and beyond the call of duty and worked with my schedule and helped me look my very best. She is not only a gifted artist that knows her craft but such a pleasure to be with. She is so positive and friendly and talking during the procedure makes things go faster. I gained a new friend and so happy I had it done here locally in modesto and not in the Bay Area, where I had to drive far away and pay more. I highly recommend anyone, men or women, who are facing thinning hair or have scars on their head to come for their free consultation. It's worth it.
