WHAT IS SCALP MICROPIGMENTATION?

Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) is a highly advanced scalp tattoo treatment aimed to camouflage all levels of hair loss, ideal for both men and women. This treatment uses detailed micro-needles and ink to create the appearance of tiny hair follicles that resembles your own natural hair follicles and hair color. We literally tattoo what looks like thousands and thousands of tiny hair follicles in between your existing hair strands to create the visual effect of having a full head of hair permanently.

At Optima Revision, we often see men and women who have been wearing hair systems, like wigs and toupees, for years and feel trapped and burdened by the expensive maintenance and limitation of activities that comes with wearing a hair system. With Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP), they finally find relief and experience a new level of freedom with our treatment. People no longer feel the need for a temporary fix because they have found a permanent solution to their hair loss.

SMP is typically performed in 3-6 sessions. There is little to no downtime, and you can resume normal everyday activities with minimal physical limitations within the first week. The discomfort level of treatment is minimal, however, we do offer numbing cream for clients that are nervous about the discomfort.

Our Scalp Micropigmentation treatment can also effectively camouflage strip FUT/FUE scarring associated with prior hair transplant procedures.  We delicately deposit pigment (ink) into the scar and surrounding area to help blend and diminish the visibility of the scarring.

We also specialize in density treatments for men and women with alopecia, thinning crown, hairline recession, and all male and female pattern baldness. We are able to work with clients of all skin tones, hair colors, and types of hair loss.
